Abstract
the article provides information about the so-called "emancipation of women of the East", directly related to the establishment of Soviet power in Turkestan in 1917-1924. Information is given on the participation of women activists of the Tatar and Bashkir peoples in the involvement of Turkestan women in the social and cultural life of the region and the development of education.
